Coping with stress

If there's one thing that is certain while you're in business, you're going to have stressful days. The key will be how you cope with it. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Don't be presumptuous.

  • Do not make assumptions with the absence of facts to back them. You could be very wrong.

  • Stay away from pity parties.

  • Identify what you have control over and what you don't.

  • Make choices that are beneficial.

  • Exercise moderately on a daily basis at the very minimum.

  • There's always something in which you can find humour and amusement take place.

  • Demonstrate love in all your activities.

  • Use positive words.

  • Be helpful to others, it takes the emphasis off yourself.

  • Live within your means. Anything in excess contributes to stress, be mindful of this.

  • Read - someone else has a perspective on what you're going through. Life repeats in cycles with different players in the roles. In some instances, someone else has recorded their situation and how they coped with it.

At the outset, I did say these would be a few considerations. They are not endless nor absolute, however, they should get you started towards stressfree living. Have an awesome 2020. Find your own de-stressors.
